SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION, EXTENSION OR LIMITATION OF THE SCOPE OF CERTIFICATION.
GIC has developed and implemented a procedure in its management system, the main purpose of which is to establish requirements for suspension, withdrawal of extension or reduction of the validity of a certification issued by GIC.
Extension of the scope of certification
Upon receipt of an application for an extension of an existing certificate, the certification body analyses the information and determines the need for an audit to decide whether an extension is possible. This may be combined with a periodic assessment.
Short notice audits
GIC may conduct short-notice audits of certified customers to investigate complaints, respond to changes, or follow up on customers with suspended certification.

The right to such audits is defined in the Certification Agreement or negotiated with the customer. If the decision is made, the Certification Body shall notify the organisation in writing of the audit conditions and the composition of the team no later than 5 working days before the start of the audit. The audit team is selected carefully so that the customer cannot challenge its composition due to lack of time.
Suspension and revocation (cancellation) of the certificate
Suspension of the certificate occurs when there is evidence (results of scheduled or extraordinary/special audits) that the client is unable or unwilling to comply with the obligations and requirements of certification
Reasons for certificate suspension
01
The client's management system does not meet the requirements of the certificate, including the requirements for the effectiveness of the management system;
02
The client does not allow supervisory or recertification audits to be conducted in a timely manner
In the event of suspension, the client's management system certification becomes invalid and the client cannot refer to its certificate.
The certificate may be suspended in the following cases
03
The client fails to fulfil financial obligations to the GIC
04
The client voluntarily applies for suspension
Decisions and changes in the GIC certificate database
The decision is agreed with the senior management of the certification body and recorded in the appropriate GIC form, and the conditions under which certification may be reinstated are also specified. After the decision is made, changes are made to the certificate database and a new certificate status is established. Renewal of the certificate is possible within 6 months, provided that all necessary renewal actions are completed.
Verification of actions and final decision of the GIC
No later than 6 months, the company provides confirmation that the reasons for the decision to suspend the certificate have been eliminated. If the results of the corrective action verification are positive, a decision is made to renew the certification. If the results of the audit are negative, the certification body may reduce the scope of certification or revoke the certificate. After that, a decision is issued, changes are made to the database, and the client is notified. If the scope of the certificate is reduced, it must be reissued by changing the scope of certification in the GIC certificate database.
Revocation (cancellation) of the certificate.
01
If the suspension status cannot be lifted within six months
02
If the organisation ceases activities related to ISO 22000 certification
03
If the organisation is unable to meet the new certification requirements due to changes in them
In case of cancellation of certification, the organisation's management system loses its validity. If the client voluntarily requests the suspension or withdrawal of the certificate, it is necessary to receive a letter of request from the client on the official letterhead signed by an authorised person and stamped.

Please note: Withdrawal of the certificate is an important decision that should be made only when it is clear that no corrective action, including suspension, can bring the Client's management system back to full compliance with the certification requirements.
04
In other cases when the integrity of the certification or audit process is seriously compromised
05
At the request of the certified organisation
